I love their faces!

Is Maeby her official name? just curious!

Yes, it is! Her last name was Lakey. She is responding to Maeby very well. I’ve always felt it is weird to change a name. But when I rescued her I thought it was a new lease on life, so why not?! Also, we do not like the name Lakey. ;)

I think Maeby might be smarter than Max. It took him 8 months to realize the vents are cold & to lay on them. It took her 1 day.

I feel like I’m doing something right or I’m a good match maker. I’ve seen Max draw blood on a puppy for getting too close to his water. I’ve heard him growl multiple times at other dogs. I’ve had to take him to the vet after a dog fight. His previous owner told me he got Max a buddy but had to get rid of it because Max bullied the puppy. But here we are not even a week into living together & I no longer have to separate them by a baby gate. I have so much patience & love for them. I think they know.

Maeby Baby had her first vet appointment today. The vet said she looks like a healthy pup! She weighs 59.4 pups. Maeby tested negative for heart worm & 2 types of tick borne diseases. Yay! Her ears & teeth look good. He did a bit of plaque scraping. Also cut her terrible ear mats! I’m a happy momma! Now it’s time to see how she does at bath time. :)
